Just a forewarning this will be a long post. Since I came back from my last deployment, I've really tried to experience everything that motorcycling has to offer. After all, this is a very big part of my life. So since I've been back, I've done 1 track day and one super street race (MRA Program). That experience has been utterly amazing and I have learned so much in such a short amount of time. Well I like to read a lot of motorcycling magazines and I this.
so i thought I'm halfway there (naked bike, just need the tires). So every since I saw that picture I've been wanting to go off roading.
So my first off-roading experience went great as you can see from the pictures. I had a blast and my confidence grew a lot. So a week went by and I wanted to do this all again. Keep in mind that all this happened in the Air Force Academy, not too far from actual help and people. So I finally found the missing lake that i've heard about
after I found the lake I decided to do some light trails
. After my confidence grew more I decided to take some harder trails (bigger rocks) and that's when things went wrong
after i realized that it was more than me and the bike can handle this happened.
I would have made it but the culprit was a stupid rock that got stuck in my front wheel and locked it up
So after getting my gear off I managed to get the bike upright
, all i had to get the stupid rock was the included bike tools so I had to improvise as much as I could. Success!! after much chipping away at the rock and moving the bike around. The damage was nothing too bad
so all in all it was a good day, got my "offroading" fix out the way and i finally did something I've been wanting to do. Good day indeed.

Guambra, might consider an ADV bike to add to the stable? BTW, are you stationed on Peterson? I was stationed at Schriver AFB from 2007-2010. |

I'm staying home while they race... It's good to get off the beaten track once in a while...
