Has anyone done anything to get there engine temp down?. In Texas sitting in traffic my bike was hitting 210. I think that's part of what's hurting my stator. I switched oil and coolant. And got it down to about 182. I wish I had the ebr oiling rotor tho. If I have to do it again I will get it for sure. |

I've hit 225 just inching up in traffic here in San Antonio. I've changed oils, but not for temperature purposes. What oil do you run? I'd like to try your Engine Ice suggestion or Water Wetter. I've been using my rear fuel injector disconnect modification for the past two weeks, which helps a lot at traffic lights. |

I hear ya! I have been racing dirt bike for 25 years. I have two kids that race also. My oldest is sponsored by motorex right now. So I can get that by the gallons. I have ran all kinds in my dirt bikes over the years. Amsoil did always seem to do real well. I put the street version motorex in my 1125r but it didn't help the cooling as much. I push my ktm 's to the limit for hours at a time the rp has not ever showed me any signs of breaking down. But that's not to say it wont happen. |
