The three-bearing kit does not fit a two-bearing wheel. I read (on badweatherbikers.com) that it does. The three-bearing kit comes with larger bearings that can't possibly be pressed into the hubs. I hope no one else gets bit by this mistake. I also read (on here) that the bearings had changed because of failures. If you happen to know (100% certain) the make/model of those new bearings please post them. I gotta get this bike ready for thursday night and I can't wait for the HD dealer to order them. If someone happens to need a three-bearing kit, hit me up. To the person who said that kit fits: Go barf in your own shoes! |

the axle does. the rest does not. in the thread below Nuts4mc explains a new wheel is needed as well as the bearings spacer and axle 6006 commercial bearings with seals. http://badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290431/ 651540.html?1316122164 |

Thank you. I found a local supplier who had SKF 6006 in stock for $26. A dollar more than Hd, but I don't have to wait 7 days for them. The folks at the bearing supplier said the NTNs were thier least-favorite due to failure rates. Its one of those statements that require a grain of salt. |
