I've had my 09 for less than a week and I love it. Originally I was thinking I would buy or make some bar risers for it but I am adjusting to the position and I'm not really finding it uncomfortable within the real of sport riding, meaning that I don't intend to tour on it. But I was looking at the forks and I noticed that the tubes are raised in the triple clamps about an inch. Is this the stock setting? I'm thinking if I lower the forks down an inch I would have a little better visibility. I forgot to mention I don't have much of a neck, no laughing, it's genetic. I know this would slow the steering a little but the bike steers so easily I doubt I would notice the change. Good idea? Or am I missing something? Thanks, Ray |

Post a picture. They are up a bit stock, let's see if yours are at the stock setting Don't go changing without a really good reason This has a BIG effect on handling, and I don't think you would even notice a change in your neck (Message edited by Sprintst on June 02, 2012) |

Actually, now that I look at them in daylight they are up about half an inch so they probably are in the stock position. I think I will leave them alone and work on flexing my neck a little more. Thanks, Ray |

I have reduced mobility in my neck - cracked a couple of vertebrae and wound up with C4-5-6 fused. To hold full tuck for any distance, I rest my chin on my thumb, fist on the airbox, left hand. Helps me tilt my head so I can see without getting neck cramps. Z |
