Seems like this story has more potential than a magazine article, or badweb for that matter. This would be a reality show I would watch. No staged drama, real world heartbreak, this weekend pieces coming together, David VS. goliath, etc.. Brice arrived early, then Ray rode in on his 1125. Then Rob showed and after waiting in the queue, was shown to his pits---got garage #40 --YAY. Gave all of them a hand getting unloaded. The new EBR transporter looks good! | ||

What a day! got the garage set up, then played the waiting game, EBR and Erik came through big time, thanks Michael John, and rolled out and fired up the racebike, we just had to roll it to the Higbee/Crotchrockettv garage, inspect it align the rear wheel and install the skins, she's ready for tech in the am! Man that bike sounds sweet, got the three heat cycles in, she's ready for Shawn to approve, get dialed in and test! Ray | ||

Hi gang. Wow, what a day. I am soooo toast. It felt so good to finally have some real time on the bike and start to get it dialed in. We have a long way to go, but we are in the game!!!! Huge cudos to Jeff Danny, Michael Tjon and the entire EBR team; 2nd & 3rd, AWESOME!!!! Can't say thank you enough to Erik. He clearly told the team to help us in anyway they could. Thanks Erik, you ARE the man. Ray and Dean our BadWeb volunteers have been fantastic as usual, and for Brice to fly out from Fla. on his own dime, well what else needs to be said. Christine, Terry and Jim from JT & S have been a huge help as well. We made a lot of setup changes throughout the day and are seeing steady improvement. Changed to a stiffer rear shock spring tonight which we hope will help the bike hold a tighter line, and are gearing higher for more top end speed. Shawn has not been on this track in more than two years and is getting re-aquainted. A very challenging track indeed. Hoping to improve our grid position tomorrow, but as long as we make it through the race, it'll be a win for me. Thanks to all for hanging in there with us. Go EBR! | ||

Well we got through it. What a fantastic finish for EBR. Those guys are doing a great job. We continue to have setup issues and though I was very pleased to have finished the race, we are not thrilled with our results. Shawn was fighting the bike so hard and pushing for better times, that he literally had blisters on his hands after the race. So we completely scrapped the setup an started from scratch. Different rear shock, steering head bearing inserts, ride height, height. I'm passing out. We'll see how it goes tomorrow. | ||

Rob and Shawn - Good luck, fingers crossed for y'all. Finally got Loretta on the dyno yesterday, she needs attention. 115 HP. I'm pissed/bummed/confused. Soon as I get caught up porting XB heads, She goes on the lift.... Then a session or two with ECMSpy on the dyno... Today I'll have my iPhone(left it home yesterday) and will follow the AMA Pro-light. Do well. Zack | ||

There seem to be rumors floating around that somehow EBR is somehow sabotaging our effort in order to keep us off the front of the grid. I need to be perfectly clear that THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE! Michael Tjon and the entire EBR crew has been extremely helpful and have shared all information about everything that they are doing. So please do not listen too or spread these rumors. "I've no "inside information" but have known Erik and the folks at Buell for nearly 30 years . . the entire though is pure unadulterated lunacy" Truth is . . . quite the opposite . . the folks at Buell, with damn limited resources, have done everything within their power, both corporately and PERSONALLY, to insure that every Buell racing does the best that it can. It's the nature of racing . . . I'm quite certain that, following this weekends stellar performance, we'll get another does of the "cheater bikes" . . "unfair advantage" and other minutiae flung from small minds. You, Shawn and your volunteer team are, in fact, the embodiment of what Buell has long been about . . . dedicated, passionate folks chasing a dream. It's worked for Buell, it'll work for you guys. I'll tell you the same thing I tell a friend of mind . . . head down, focus and challenge yourself at every step . . ."am I doing the absolute best that I can to succeed". I can second Court on this. I have know Erik a bit longer than him any any hint of such action is simply impossible to comprehend. That some low minded folks would spread things like this, that I believe but that EBR would do it? Not gonna happen! |
