Thought this might be of interest to some of you. Ive just installed my tomtom rider using the AUX plug. It came with a RAM charging dock. I just bought the terminals for the male part of the AUX plug. 73190-96 (the terminal pins) 72099-06 (the wire seal) [IMG] |

I have the exact same GPS and mount and 2008 1125R. I used the threaded hole on the bar near the clutch reservoir to bolt down the ram mount. This hole is used for mirrors on the CR's. It has a plastic plug in it on our R's. It puts the GPS near the top of the left fork tube. Did you drill your fairing stay? I used the accessory circuit to run mine also. It is a good indicator that the charging system is working. If there is not enough volts, the circuit turns off, and the GPS goes off. I had it happen one time while idling in line at a toll booth with my high beams on. The '08's don't have voltage indicators on the ECM. When the GPS goes off, it is hard to miss. I quickly turned off my high beams, and revved the engine. The 08's don't burn up, but don't put out as much juice as the 09's. |

Yeah just 1 hole drilled in the faieing stay, and i passed through the supplied U bolt. The switch just to the left of my speedo is a simple on off toggle switch, i turn my lights off when im queing for tolls etc, that also really helps, the fans always seem to be on, so every little helps. Mines a 2007 build date bike and im on the original battery, still fine, use a optimate charger most of the time, and it gets ridden fairly hard which also helps. |

"I used the threaded hole on the bar near the clutch reservoir to bolt down the ram mount." Hijacking for a minute, would you happen to know to what size that hole has been threaded? Or another way to ask the same question -- What size is the thread on the CR mirrors? thanks. |

Sorry, I really don't know what size it is. I have a huge bin of both metric and SAE nuts and bolts. I just kept digging till I found one that fit. |
