Hi guys, I think I have the IC drain on my 08 1125r, the battery is going dead now overnight and its a new battery. I am wanting to know if I change the cluster Ive read the km's(Australia) will transfer to the new cluster, would it be possible to buy a cluster in Miles and will it change to KM's if I put it in my bike or do I have to pay through the nose and buy locally? Cheers Scott |

All the clusters can be changed from kms to miles and back the owners manual tells you how to do it. Mike |

You can't you are stuck with the mileage that is on the cluster you get which could be a good thing or bad depending on what is on both.Sure beats buying a new one though hope this helps. Mike |

You need to buy new, then after being connected for 30 minutes the cluster will download the mileage from your ECM. If you put on a used cluster, it will display the mileage of the bike it came off of. Switching from miles to kilos is easy and done in the menus along with the clock and other settings. |

What about if I have an EBR ECM will it still be stored in the ECM? Anyone know of any US dealers that will sell to overseas, I think most arent allowed to, at a guess I;d say the Australian price will be dearer than shipping from the US. Cheers Scott |

The cluster takes lead on mileage. So if it is a fresh cluster first time mating yes it'll pull from the ecm. Conversely if it is a used one the ecm will learn from it. |
