I'm looking at an '09 1125CR for my friend. The bike has 12,500 miles. No accident damage. Wiring harness fixed, Stator replaced, both under warranty. The bike has NOT gotten its first major service done. It needs a new front brake rotor. It is all stock including exhaust. Dealer is asking $6800. My gut feeling is the price is too high. That first major service is due now so I’m looking at least $700-$800 from local dealer for that. The Stator is a possible issue in the near future ($900 for EBR upgraded part). Front rotor replacement is $200 ($164+labor). So instincts is telling me $5500 is a fair price + tax and license? What is the consensus? |

Last summer I picked up an 08 with ~900 miles for $4500 off of eBay... Granted I had to travel from Ohio to Maryland to pick it up, but it was totally worth it. I would keep looking. |

Ask yourself this. Would you pay 7,800 for the same bike just serviced with a new rotor? Probaly not. Seeing how your gonna have to sink another grand into it that you'll never get back I'd pay 6500 for the bike serviced and ready to roll, so 5500 seems fair. Depends on what they have in it. If they're buried in it, could be tough. |

It worked out real good! Sorry no pics yet as my friend will take his bike home next week. It turned out the '09 CR we looked at was in REALLY good shape. The previous owner was also anal about maintenance and the bike even came with the Service Manual! My friend allowed me to test ride it extensively and in the twisties too before he committed. The bike was top notch in condition and tune. The only issues were a warped front rotor and leaking clutch seal. Since the bike still had a few years of factory warranty, no big deal. He took the bike home for $6300 OTD. Was that a sweet deal or what? And the bike was in like-new condition..really. Even the tires were fresh! Another 1125CR finds a very good home. |

that's because he just turned it on. only reason i think so is because it says "buell-wincons" on the cluster. |

Yeah. The engine light goes on for a second during start up, then goes off, IF there is nothing amiss. It doesn't matter. The CR we looked at was damn near perfect and 100% stock. |

I sold mine 09 1125CR in Feb with 600 miles on it, first service and recalls done, all manuals, $6300.00 Had it advertised here and craigslist for a long time. |
