Well I did something really stupid Sunday and went for a fast ride in the canyons in my un-armored leather jacket. Of course I hit some corner debris under braking and lost the front. Bang, cracked rib(s). I had my Bohn armor on under my Jeans and that worked great. So don't do it. JUST DON"T DO IT!!" Always wear your gear. Bike is OK. Mirrors and paint. Just please don't make me laugh, cough or sneeze.

Glad you're o.k..well .sort of o.k. that is! Crossed mine up on some debris Sunday and avoided dropping it by the skin of my teeth. Hang in there! Really proud of what you have been doing. Get well soon! |

Yeah I have gotten way behind on the videos. The 1190 has taken all my time. But now I have a break so I'll get on 'em. Fingers fine. Thanks |

Glad to hear you're OK...when trying to lay down to sleep - if it hurts too much... try a Lazy-Boy recliner- it worked for me. take it slow and easy for awhile. |

Hi Rob - Heal up quick! I broke 4 ribs on Halloween 2010 at Streets of Willow in a lowside...wearing all the gear. I hear you about the sneezing! I went 3 weeks without a single sneeze - when I felt one coming, all I had to do was think about how much pain the last one caused and the sneeze would evaporate! After 3 weeks, I hesitated a bit remembering the pain and was too slow to block the sneeze. Fortunately, I had healed by then so no more fireworks in the brain. See you soon! Alan |

Yeah, the sneezes are life changing. The first two dropped me to my knees!. And you're right, now half way through, they just disappear. The body does learn! (Message edited by Rodrob on April 13, 2012) |

fwiw, do arm raises and deep breathes as much as the pain will let you. Broken ribs lead to shallow breathing which leads to fluid buildup which leads to a couple types of lung infection which leads to more coughing and sneezing. been there, hurt that. |
