A Week ago I sold my XB12R due to a lower back injury. I was looking around at different bikes. I was planning on getting a HD Nightrod Special, but Financial BS reared its ugly head and my funds got cut WAY DOWN!... Luckily there is a 2009 1125CR for sale 10 miles from my house. If she rides good for me (more upright position, then Blackbelt is getting an 1125. So some of you know me, I went from my 2002 X1WL to my 2007 XB12R.. what should I see different in riding this bike? It already has 2" higher bars, and Jardine Pipe... Anything else people would suggest?? |

youll find out soon as you twist the throttle for the 1st time next difference is when your stator dies |

more power, better brakes, more heat, even better handling at high speed once set up right. and obviously more upright position with the tall bars(also on the plus side, the tall bars make it even more wheelie prone by moving your weight off the front end...!!) theres always mine... but its farther away and it doesnt have the tall bars. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/21/ 671878.html?1332124292 |

Do you have any experience with a Lightning? The CR with the upright bar kit and some drop pegs will feel similar to a Lightning, but given your back issues I don't know if it is a good choice for you. |

My back isn't a typical lower back issue.. everyone thought that a forward control bike would be worse.. it was actually better... odd.. I am going to take it for a spin and see how it feels first... I owned a 2002 X1 before my XB... and I have riden a few xbs's before.. it was the position of the clipon bars and the angle of my back from the Firebolt that got me... |

The difference is going to be power, braking, and handling. Stiffer suspension too. You'll find yourself late braking due to the addition stopping power compared to your XB. Stiffer throttle is another thing. Increased vibration at highway speeds but smooth at idle. Way better headlights. Fast. Real Fast! Instant power at roll on at a much wider RPM range. |

selling my 1125 cr. would love to find a good low priced XB , 2008 or 2009 model, with the latest air cooled Buell motor. might even trade one of my s2's. Would love to have the latest XB motor in a tube frame buell, my opinion. REX |

Well i just got boned.. I was on my way to test drive the bike. and i happen to call to see if the Stator recall had been completed and he told me that he sold it to his father's friend. sucks since we have been talking for about 2 weeks (he went to Texas for that time) and he knew I was coming out. He sold it yesterday.. WTF??? So if anyone knows of a good 1125CR that I can try out and/or purchase let me know ASAP.. I NEED A BIKE!! |

i can't believe you haven't found something on that side of the state. I'm a west side guy myself, haven't been looking for one to buy,but never see these things on the road. for what it's worth, i'm a harley guy who bought one on the end of the fire sale. i thought i would have lost interest in this thing by now. no effing way, i love riding this thing. handful of track days, daily commuter bike. front and rear tires shot in 5k. fun as anything i own. |
