My wife bought me the Jardine fender eliminator and the '10 LED light with downfiring bulb to shine light on my plate... I'm gonna poke around and see where to cut, but my question is this: What did you use to make the cut smooth and/or easy? Dremel? Drill bits and sandpaper? Am going to try and get some video of these (hopefully simple) installs to share with others here. |

weller soldering gun with a "hot knife tip" put some masking tape on the area you want to cut - draw the "cut here lines" and cut thru the tape and into the plastic....if you have some "burrs" ( melted plastic) remove with a sharp knife - need to make a sharp turn - drill a small (1/8" dia) hole at the corner...practice on a plastic bleach bottle or milk bottle to gauge your speed and feed to minimize excessive melting....good luck |

I just used a Dremel with the cutting wheel, then went back with various grits of sandpaper to get a nice smooth finish. Same Jardine FE, too.
