Is that your source for this task? I don't know that my VR was bad, but the stator was burned on 2 winds. I was able to keep the stator and VR, heard of a local business that may be able to help here. Haven't put that many miles on the bike though (around 4000) as it's number 3 in the fleet and I don't want to get it dirty in the winter (LOL) so my chop is taking the brunt..
