The R was really hard to get started today thought it was flooded topped off the battery and give it a few more tries and if fired up. Now I got 3 codes. U0001 Comm Error P2300 Frt ING Sys ERR P0193 Fuel Pr Sys ERR I dident have any codes last time I started it up before putting it up for winter. I haven't had time to look everything over yet just wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions on how to get rid of them before I get started. Thanks for the help. |

The comm error and fuel error are probably due to cranking over with a weak battery. Comm error means there was an issue with the cluster communicating with the ECM, often due to low battery, and the fuel error means that your bike didn't have enough fuel pressure, also possibly due to the weak battery. I haven't seen the ignition error before, but if I had to take a blind stab, I would say it wasn't sparking correctly due to your battery issue. If you replace the battery, and the codes don't pop up again I wouldn't worry about it. |

I have an 08. I think I am going to see about getting the battery replaced and see how much it helps. Thanks for the help. |
