It sounds like more than a few BadWeb-ers have been using the new EBR stator. I'm thinking about taking the plunge before mine ('09) "inevitably" goes bad. Did the switch make all your previous problems go away? There are so many facets to this charging problem that seem all interrelated: relays, stators, regulators, harnesses...is everyone happy with the new stator or is everything with the system being replaced? |

Zoolander, I think there are probably less total words written in the King James Bible than have been written here on the BadWeb about the 1125 stator. I am convinced now that I am the only 1125R owner who has not had a problem with his stator. I don't understand why either. I do everything wrong.....just like my dealer told me to. I keep my RPMs up....above 5 grand, and ride the bejesus out of that bike. When the stator does fail, which I am sure it will if I ride it long enough (goes for my car too), I'll cross that bridge. I can buy an 08 and replace it or I can buy an EBR. I visited my dealer once to discuss the whole stator issue. He was busy replacing one in a Fat Boy. (I just threw that in to let you know that stators do fail in other machines). He told me not to believe everything I heard on the BadWeb, that they stood behind the harness upgrade, and that I shouldn't let everybody else ruin my riding experience. I recommend you make sure you have towing insurance regardless of what you ride, and try to enjoy riding instead of worrying. And if you will feel better, by all means, replace that stator. Just try to have some fun along the way. Oh yes, make sure that you have a dealership that knows more than how to replace pretty body work and stereos, and you'll be just fine. There is one dealership in my area that I visit for amusement. They were selling a 1950s era Harley fully restored. The note on the machine said they wouldn't be able to repair or maintain it at that dealership. That's not a dealership I would want doing anything on one of my machines. Well, in about an hour, when it hits 40 degrees, I'm going to go ride my 1125. Hope you can get in a ride today too! |

Just a few hundred miles on my ebr stator kit and so far so good. Mine went at about 8000 miles, and I have not had any of the other electrical issues so no change there. |

To the best of my knowledge, my stator is stock with 11,000 miles on it. No issues for the stock unit. I was also wondering the same thing Zoolander. When and/or if mine ever fails, I want to know the E B R unit will be correct. |

Well, I have had 8 stators, so I am interested in the EBR stator results. |

Lots of people seem to have it backwards. Kinda makes you wonder how many people really understand what the charging harness upgrade is really designed to do. |

Yeah, the bikes at high RPMS are good. Its idling that kills the stators, because the oil pump runs faster at higher RPMS, and at low rpms, there isn't enough oil flow to effectively cool the stator. |

New EBR stator and rotor fitted, harness mod removed, not really ridden the bike much yet to offer an informed opinion. |
