Here's a poll regarding the plug that covers the port for the crankshaft locking tool. If you can, please answer all three questions.

1. The plug for the port for the crankshaft locking tool is an M12 threaded plug that's removed with a 6mm Allen wrench. It looks like the right side oil drain plug. Is it the same part?

2. When you removed the plug to access the crankshaft locking port, was there an M12 sealing washer on the plug, or was the plug naked?

3. When you put the plug back in, did you use an M12 sealing washer?

Here are my answers:

1. Yes. I think they could be the same part. I could not find the crank port plug in the 2009 parts catalog to confirm this.
2. No. Mine came from the factory with no washer (naked plug).
3. Yes.

1. No. See the image - its showing the bottom, item 3 point front. It is located in front of the strainer cover (pentagon shaped item).

2-3. Dont recall seeing any.

What I meant by my question is that it looks like the two plugs identified as Part 1 and Part 3 in your photo could be the same component. I wasn't suggesting that anyone should shove the crank locking tool into the oil drain orifice!

My bad. I need my reading glasses. I have not thought to compare the two when I have them out. Just from memory, part 3 seems smaller. No washer was visible. Perhaps it could have been stuck in the recess - it's pretty deep.
