Hey guys, For some time now I have been getting the CEL at times when riding over 65mph for over 20 min. Most of my riding is done commuting back and forth to work, which is about 14 miles round trip. When I take a ride to Denver, the light comes on, basically at highway speed for over 20 min or so. P0134 frt o2 sys error P0154 rear o2 sys error These are the codes I'm getting after the ride; after I turn the bike off the codes go away. I have a 09 1125CR with an FMF apex slip on exhaust with a PCV. The instructions on the exhaust say to disconnect the front/rear oxygen sensor. Could this be causing the problem? If so, what would happen if I reconnect the oxygen sensors with my current set up? Would reconnecting the sensors solve the problem? Thanks in advance and merry Christmas !!! |

You are getting those errors because the bike is detecting that your O2 sensors are unplugged. P0134 and P0154 are standard OBD codes for the sensors not being detected. If you reconnect them, it may cause a conflict with the fueling as the bike will try and compensate for the PCV. (Message edited by froggy on December 14, 2011) |

So just ignore the codes or plug them in? What kind I conflict can the sensors cause with the PCV? |

From what I know of power commanders, it's just an over-ride device for an ecm. If you plug them (the O2 sensors) back in, the ecm will continue adjusting it back to stock values and eventually get it so far out of whack that it will throw even more error codes than what you have now. I guess that's one reason I don't care to use them. The proper way to do it is to disable the learning portion of the ecm as it relates to the O2 sensors and tune it correctly, or even better, use wideband sensors to get it right and leave them in place. I've had widebands on mine for going on 2 years now with no problems. I do use EBR's race calibration though. |

Ditch the Power Commander, get an E Be Arr Race ECU, and reconnect the O2 sensors? |
