I just came back to Italy from my usual early december week in SF for the American Geophysical Union Fall meeting. Even this year I've seen a black 1125CR (looks like a 2009 but I'm not sure) parked in Grant street. Anybody from this forum? |

Was it flat black? If so, it was me. If it was shiny, it was probably ChessM. |

Shiny, with red decals. A couple of times I saw another Buell parked close, this one with an HD engine. Do you work/live there? Nice place, I LOVE San Francisco. |

I'm back in Italy, can't steal it anymore for now ... I always stay at the Triton Hotel when I come to SF. Maybe next time we could have a beer together... |

"the American Geophysical Union Fall meeting". So did you guys figure out how much longer we'll be able to ride our Buells before we run out of oil or succumb to global warming? |

Chess, I believe, has the only 1125 in SF while I'm the only one in Oakland. Duphuckincati and one other guy are the other locals but further south. So far, I've yet to actually see another 1125 in person. |

Other than the familiar 1125, I noticed a good number of Vespa around, while in Italy we're flooded with Honda scooters... |

Hm, a friend of mine has an 1125r, 2008, he lives in SF. I don't think he is a member here, though. He also has a couple xb's, an ss and tt I believe, and some other bikes, too. |

I've seen a few around marin, one in Novato(not sure if he lived there) another in Pt reyes, but he lived inland, maybe san rafael. I have seen some others around locally, but just people passing through. |

I live in San Francisco, and ride an 1125CR it's a nice shinny black. I was on guadalupe canyon a couple of weeks ago with a new rider(Honda Rebel). Also ride down in the SC mtn's alot, as well as Marin. Though it has been awhile since I was up that way. |

I live in South Bay, and have a red CR. I go to Alice's most of the weekends. |

Yep that was me, you rode by and did a look back. I figured you were wondering why is he going so slow. Yugi, I'll have to keep an eye out for you. I go kind of early to beat the crowds. |

I'm in the East Bay, up near Richmond. Commute into the City on my 1125R sometimes, though most days I take my KTM Duke (only because I can fit it into a little parking spot at work that's much harder to squeeze the Buell into). If you see a black R with high bars, it's probably me. |

@Duphuckincati: at a rate of 1 mm increase of the mean sea level every 387 billion tons of melted polar ice, I guess we can relax a few months... |

Love SF! If we're not staying in Napa it'll be the Mark Hopkins. In either case we always stop in for a few pints at Fiddler's Green on Columbus by the Cannery. In front of the Fiddler's Green, my XB in the foreground and wife's Duc in the back from our CA ride last year: 1125 related content: I will most likely never make that trip on my CR. Nels |
