Handles remarkably well off road!!! Lost my concentration and rhythm in a tight group of corners (that i ride quite frequently) today and decided to stand it up and ride it right off the road before the apex into 10ft wide leaf covered mud shoulder lined with trees and brush. Rode it through the apex and out. Ruffled a few feathers but never had time to panic. I've had plenty of accidents and close calls, but have never gone off road at speed. There's always a first time for everything. I have to go back and redeem myself... | ||

Dang! Be careful! I almost got to experience the off road handling one day while following a track day junkie down a twisty road. He wanted footage of himself riding, and I had a Gopro mounted on the nose of my 1125R. I lost traction on the rear tire as I was leaned over. I was rolling into the throttle to accelerate out of the turn. I gave it just a little too much, I guess. I got it on video. It looks like the bike is wiggling as I slide from the left to the right side of the lane. It was very close. | ||

I got bumped off the track and mowed the grass at over 100 mph in PA.I must say the 1125R does OK off road at speed as long as you keep your head.I just hung loose untill I could get back on the track and then hit the pits to cool out a bit.Don't do that  | ||

I went back to the scene the next day and took a look. I was a little surprised as to how lucky I really am. Took some photos and tried to map out my line as best as possible but theres a lot the photos don't show. entry was into a ditch approx 1 foot deep, leaves, then moss, then a rotten tree branch, and I missed a good size tree at the exit. After analyzing, this was a classic case of riding too fast and target fixation. There are two types of trees,bendies and destroyers.Nice save as there were a lot of destroyers there |
