Hello guys, For those in Houston, is there a Buell friendly dealer or other service place where you trust you bike for stuff you can't do yourself ? I have a clutch weep that I want to take care. Thanks for any help. |

Not exactly Houston but I recommend Independence HD in College Station. Service manager is a Buell rider and they have an excellent Buell tech as well. www.independencehd.com |

Arggh, sorry to hear. I won't do business with either Mancuso locations due to bad experiences in the past. Have had reasonable luck with Goe Cycles in Angleton. They did my wiring harness recall. Regards, Nels |

Forerunner, After some search in here it it looks like the guys at Goe Cycles in Angleton have provided members here with a good experience. On your profile it says servicing dealership to be in Corpus Christi. I am from corpus and in the event that I move back some day it would be nice to know that they are Buell friendly. |

Yeah, I really oughta update that profile sometime. I bought the CR from Corpus Christi HD and rode it back to Houston. They treated me right down there and the sales manager I worked with rode a CR. He spent a lot of time explaining to me just how awesome it was. lol Although it was unlikely I'd bring her back down for service due to the distance, I was happy enough with them to give 'em a shoutout in my profile. My little brother lives in Victoria. He tried the Mancuso shops and was not pleased. Last I heard, he was taking his Firebolt to Cowboy in Austin. If you can't find a good shop, go to EBR's site and get their clutch actuator kit for 99 bucks, install yourself. It works in either rev clutch cover, your photo shows a revA(2008). http://www.erikbuellracing.com/store/models/1125r/ ebr-clutch-actuator-cylinder-kit.html Zack |

I'm starting to sound like a broken record here but I highly endorse the EBR clutch kit. Solves the weep and give better clutch feel. |

Thank you all so much for the responses on a subject that probably a lot of people are tired reading about. Could you please tell me if the EBR kit is complete ? Or do I need other peripherals ? The EBR is half the price of the HD kit. (Message edited by 0300 on November 20, 2011) |

0300, I can't speak to the EBR kit but I can second the work that comes from Independence Harley. www.independencehd.com Talk to JR, the service manager. He's a Buell guy and they have techs who know Buells. Good luck, Phil |

Well...here it is. Just came in today the EBR kit. Still not sure if I need anything else with it for the installation. It sure looks nice and shinny though and I love the fact that it has so maaany o rings

It's an easy job once you are in there, honestly. If you are near Dallas, I'll help you do it... doesn't take even an hour. |

Well, it looks like I will be taking it to Angleton at Goe. I went by and they seemed very respectful and helpful and it is something their Buell guy has done more than once. I will let yall know how it goes and whether I get the improved clutch feel that some talk about. |

The EBR kit was installed today at GOE Cycles of Angleton TX. So far no more leaking. I had a very positive experience with all the guys there. They were respectful and friendly and took the time to chat with me about tuning my suspension. Mr. Leon there that worked on it seemed to have good experience doing this as he completed the work super fast. I can't say that the feel of the clutch has changed any with the EBR kit on it but the material change and the additional o rings should keep it from weeping. Thank you all for pointing me to the right direction. Now its time to put some wear on the sidewalls of those tires ! |
