Dose anyone have one? Im 220 pounds and usually run 36F 38R. I am getting 2ct's put on today and was wondering what people run and if changing the pressure a little bit will help me get more miles while still being able to RIDE IT. Thanks Russell |

These 2CTs are garbage. They don't feel right with any pressure I've tried yet. I'm still working on it. |

For me it all depends on track temp. |

My current tire option is the Dunlop Q2s. This is my second set, and I'm getting about 6k miles of commuting/weekend touring on them. They're grippier than I make use of, but I've had the Pilot Road 2CTs before, and I did find their traction limits a few times. The Q2s are a great tire for the bike, IMO. The handling is very neutral, they stick wonderfully, and the tire life is actually pretty good given how grippy they are. |

Froggy prefers Flintstones tires--solid rock! Lol Froggy, you are the only person on this forum that I recall having anything bad to say about the 2cts. I run ~33-34 front and ~38 rear. If I am lazy about checking the tire pressure and they get 3-4psi lower than that, they become resistant to turning. I think the 2cts have a relatively flexible carcass so they seem sensitive to tire pressure variations. |

I too switched from Pilot Roads to Dunlop Q2's after Paul at Zabor's in Austin recommended them. Great tire... the Pilots couldn't handle the 1125cr torque, and the Pilots would wear down the middle quickly. Speaking of tires...I swear by the tire pressure caps on my bikes. You can visually check tire pressure in seconds without a gauge. They saved my a** one day when I was leaving the office, i inspected my tire pressure and the caps were red... and I found a nail i picked up on my way to work. |

I can beat that, I have a tire pressure monitoring system. I can see my pressure even while blasting on the back roads, and it gives an audio and visual alerts when pressure drops below whatever programmed PSI. It is awesome to see how a tire changes 10PSI in a single day just due to the weather.

Hell if it meant constant pressures, I'd consider it!

The tires feel funny, they are very hard to turn in, then when they do they fall over and you are at the edge of the tire. It reminds me of a tire being heavily squared off after nothing but 5000 miles of interstate, but it is brand new rubber. I also don't like how the overall diameter of the tire is smaller too, my speedo is now very inaccurate and as result my fuel economy numbers are invalid. I had to double check that it said 180/55/17 on the side. |

Froggy is crazy. 2cts are fantastic but I think pr3s are even better. I run 32-34 psi front and rear |

I did a track day at Fontana on 2CTs. The Michelin Man recommended 36 front, 38 rear. I'm 210, without gear, and I was able to run in the high 1:40s all day. I've since switched to (track only) Dunlop Sportmax GPs, but recently attended a Jason Pridmore Star School, and had Jason pass me.......while riding two up........on Q2s. |

I ran 2ct's last on my Speed Triple. Absolutely loved them - in fact, much more than Pilot Powers, which were my previous favorite. I am now on PR3's and am in love. AWESOME wet performance and, while they aren't 'sport' rubber, no sane person can out run these tires on the street unless you're dragging knees. In which case, you're not sane. I'm amazed each time I ride on these. |

Froggy, are you sure you bought Michelins? Maybe the tire store sold you some Shinkos! Your results are the exact opposite of mine with the 2cts. Turn in is much lighter than with the stock C3s, lean effort is consistent throughout the tread, and my speedo is dead accurate--no more than 1mph off according to the last cop radared me. If your suspension is out of whack, I could see that affecting feel, but I'm not sure why your speedo is so far off. |

I think I will go up to 36psi front on my 2cts to see how they feel. I've been running 33-34 and I think a couple extra psi would make them lean in even easier. |

I have it GPS confirmed. Slabbing on the open highway, maintaining 65 indicated, it registers only 60. I haven't measured the tire yet, but I can visually confirm it is smaller. I had very little clearance between the muffler and tire with Corsa 3, and Pilot Race, but with the 2CT the gap is twice the size. |

I just had my GPS on the bike the other day as well and I am running the 2CT's. My speedometer registered 65 while the GPS showed 62. I was always around 3 mph higher on the bikes speedo than the GPS showed. Now I did just check my tire pressure and sadly I was at 20 front and 22 rear! Guess I need to keep a better eye on that and make it part of my pre-ride routine. |

Are we comparing apples and apples? These are the Michelin street/sport tire options: Pilot Road Pilot Road 2 Pilot Road 3 Pilot Power Pilot Power 2CT Power Pure I'm on my second set of Pilot Power 2CT tires. I love them. I'm an aggressive rider (who isn't that owns one of these bikes?) and do occasional track days. I weigh 180 lbs and run pressures on the high side, 34 front, 38 rear, to try and get a few extra miles out of them. I've been commuting on them and consequently have squared off the rear - just about waring out the center to the cords. This pic is the rear I just took off after 7k miles. The front still had maybe 3k left. This is really good mileage for sport tires. I hated the stock Pirellis which handled like a truck in comparison to the PP2CT which provide effortless turn, great stability and hold a mid turn line with no counter steer required.
