So I got my usual mailing from the local HD dealer trying to solicit business. Of COURSE, it's focused on the loud chrome products, but I'm in their database. Anyway, they're offering a Fall special for $199 that is the usual check this check that, but what caught my eye is: ...change spark plugs listed as one of the items. Only disclaimer is HOG discount not available. I'm thinking of taking them up on it. That'll teach 'em. |

One of my local dealers did something similar, $50 synthetic oil changes, I took them up on that as the materials alone run over $50. |

Ask for your old plugs if they do that. I'm guessing it doesn't apply to the 1125s. Or they'll claim it doesn't when you take it in. Or they'll charge you $700 for it, and handwave until they justify it. I don't like my local dealership much. They've literally used "Sorry, no lunch break... so no time for drugs, 'ya know?" as an excuse for totally screwing up a quote (quoted me for a front Corsa III instead of a rear Q2). I take my 1125 to a dealership 70 miles away instead of deal with my local one. |
