Anyone had a clutch go out? Mine engages right at the end of the lever. Like the disks might be going. I checked to see it doesn't feel like it's slipping but makes me un easy |

Mine just starts to engage about 1/2 way out. Nothing for the first 1/2. |

You've had the bike since it was new, right? I guess it feels different now, or you wouldn't be posting this? How many miles are on your bike? |

hey pat. yes i have had it since new and am about 17,000 miles. this isn't half it doesn't begin to pull the bike till it is 90% of the way out. Just thought i would check here if anyone else has had an issue. Planning another 700 mile iron butt back to Asheville ,nc this weekend. |

I know Jdugger has worn out a clutch on his race bike. Maybe he will chime in on the symptoms. On the bright side, they are not difficult to change. Are you sure it's not the clutch weep issue creeping up on you? That's super easy to fix. |

mine was like thst,neutral was a bitch to find from day 1. best i can understand is as plates wear the fluid rose and air went into lines. Had to be bled and was fine. Proved to me thats its never been right since i bought it. complete change in clutch action |

I would check for the weep first. If nothing found, bleed it. Be sure to pop the puck off and check underneath. Don't worry if you find a little moisture from condensation under the puck. You are looking for the brake fluid that is used. I had air get into my lines from a loose bleeder screw. It got difficult to find neutral, and it would surge forward when putting it into 1st gear. After I bled the system, it was like new again. |

This is not a weep issue i did pull the puck and check the resvior Dry and full. Mine disengages at a 1/4" pull. Not going to try and bleed it slight pull on the blade it and it releases. if there was air it would not disangage until it hit the bar no issue shifting or finding neutral. I have warntee till febuary just hoping it doesn't go around asheville since the 2 shops i been to in knoxxville SUCK!! |

Probably not the issue, but check your lever adjustment setting (knob with the numbers on it). If the setting got changed without you noticing, the location of engagement would have also changed. (eliminate the simple things first, before tearing into your clutch pack). Hope it's an easy fix. |

Just figured that out and i should have known that x. brake clutch tires ect... Looks like barnett sells a complete kit 230 retail. this winters project and check the valves agian. should be around 20k when i put it in for the season. changing the oil atm. if i feel it slip i know i have to be easy on it durning this next trip |

dnlink...... mine is disk are worn NOT a realese issue. Looked through the manual tonight i may pull wand measure the pack thickness |

honestly, my clutch disengages toward the end of the clutch release. I bought ASV levers to help it some. the adjustability allowed me to bring them in closer and not have as much movement. |

thanks Jim for answering all my questions on FB. I pulled it apart and it all looks like new. guess after 2 break downs last trip i am little anxious |
