Does anyone have any experience with the Laminar attachment for the 1125cr. I just ordered it and am hoping for some feedback and what I can hope to expect. Thanks |

I gave one to a mate for him to fit to his bike and he thought it was awesome. Cruising at 90MPH felt equivalent to cruising at 70MPH as the wind blast was greatly reduced. The only issue he had was that at ~130 it blew off and smacked him in the face, but it is possible he just didn't fit it properly... Although TBH how hard can it be to fit 4 velco pads? The velcro didn't fail but the glue holding the velcro to the bike did so make sure you use the alcohol wipes to clean the area first... And press them on really hard LOL |

I had the same glue failure after a year. I ended up drilling both the fly screen and the lip and using a bolt mounting system. There is a big caveat when trying to do this! Be sure and drill over sized holes and use thick rubber grommets. Also, don't over tighten the bolts, in fact they should be finger loose so use blue loctite on them. |

Im a little bit hesitant about drilling, is it possible to go and get additional velcro at the hardware store and install? |

I have a lip I used for my first trip to the 191... it did help but I hate the look... I'll sell it for a reasonable offer if anyone is looking, It will need new velcro pads for sricking to the fly screen. |

a) it's not "velcro" it's 3M's Dual-Lok see here: http://www.3m.com/product/information/Dual-Lock-Re closable-Fastener.html b) over 80 mph the chance of a semi traveling the opposite direction on a two lane hwy will have it flying off.... c) sorry... but you gotta drill and bolt it on (if you want to make up time when traveling) - I use some "nylon bolts and nuts" and some plastic tubing to act as "spacers" so as not to propagate additional cracking on my Vstrom's windscreen. d) the "lip" works well IMO...just gotta keep it "on" |

That Dual-lock has a powerful grip. The only way you can get the screen off is to work something like a screwdriver or a table knife in between the two Dual-lock halves. I've never had a problem with the Lamimnar Lip on my Uly coming off at interstate speeds. |

I had mine at 140+ with no issue the first time it was installed... The grip lock is super strong the first time you use it but after separating it even once it gets weak. |

out here in the SWest - it's the heat- the adhesive goes soft and gives up - the Dual Lok doesn't...maybe some JB Weld would be the answer!! |

That could be... Im in So. AZ but the trip I used it for was in Sept. and up to Alpine so it was a bit cooler than normal. |

Have had the lip on my CR for over a year. Made an immediate positive improvement IMO. No adhesion or separation problems. Plenty of Texas heat but have not had her at 140mph. However after reading this thread I am considering a more permanent installation just because. |

Sadly looks like a permanent install. Anywhere that would give me exact instructions to follow. Where to drill, what to use. Pictures/videos would be a plus. I ordered it and it should be here approx the 9th. I am trying to prepare so I can install when it gets here. |

Mine was just like that with the same hand guards too... At 120+ the wind pushed that stuff around a bit and bade the steering a little weird. I wasn't digging the look so I took it all back off. |
