I leave for the factory on tuesday, the bike will ship Friday and we will have it next week! Shawn Higbee will race the CrotchRocket.tv E-B-R 1190RS at the Streets of Willow Springs in the Formula 1 class on Oct. 16. We will be at the track the 14th and 15th working on the setup. Here is your chance to see the bike up close and personal. Come hang out in the pits and support this first west coast 1190RS racing effort. More details will be on CrotchRocket.tv as they materialize. |

Nice site Rob! Almost skipped past the intro, but found my self chuckling at your personal stats one minute and then saddened by your story of personal loss the next. Quality of productions is excellent though and plan to bookmark that for a surf again in the future. |

Shawn Higbee on an 1190RS should be nothing short of spectacular. Shawn has a proven ability to coax 105% out of about any machine you get him near. The almost warrants a quick jaunt to watch this . . . the 16th, eh? |

On the 1125R, Shawn will freaking DOMINATE!! Man but we gotta take up a collection to ensure the E.B.R./1190/Higbee/Crotchrocket.tv machine can hit as many races as POSSIBLE next year! |

In a different thread, I learned Erik is going to be in LA the weekend of Oct 9th (the Pro-Italia event). I think we should hijack Erik and have him stay the week to witness for himself the inaugural running of the 1190 RS at Willow!! I suspect Erik is not so easily hijacked though. |

Shawn on a 1190RS. This is awesome. Good luck Rodrob. Now tell me, are you going to do up the 1190 like your 1125 with the American flag theme? I hope so...:-) |

Tires is right. On the big track we will go through at least four rears just getting the setup right. Good thing we are starting on the Streets, which is much easier on tires. This is a complete leap of faith as I have no idea how we are going to pay for all this. We will need sponsors for sure. But I keep hearing this weird disembodied voice whispering "If you race it, they will come." I hope he's right. Please spread the word. I would be great to see a bunch of Bullers out there. I'll be burnin' up some burgers and chillin' some brew, so come out and join the team! I'm in Milwaukee writing this. We go to Erik Buell Racing tomorrow to get the bike and ship it. It should show up at Glendale Harley around Tuesday/Wednesday. Then to my garage to take off all the street stuff. Follow us on twitter at crotchrockttv to get updates as they happen. |

Hey Rob - if you are getting a showroom bike - DOCUMENT IT WITH PHOTOS, VIDEO, AND PAPERWORK as it goes through the amazingly-short transformation from streetable to competitive. Show those naysayers that yes, Virginia...you actually CAN race a street-legal motorcycle! Talk to the guys at Mythbusters. Jamie owns an 1125R and they are some MASTERS of the time-lapse...I'm seeing bike being put on a lift in a shop...and time-lapse shots of bodywork coming off, exhaust coming off, bodywork going on without lights, exhaust going on...and that's it. Might not even need time lapse... |

Do you have a PayPal address or such we can donate to? I'd be up for a bit of a contribution to tires! |

You guys rock! I will get this set up asap. The other thing everyone can do is to subscribe to my crotchrocket.tv youtube channel and also go to the crothrocket.tv web site and click around to drive up my stats. This will be very helpful in getting major sponsorship. Ask friends and family to do the same. It costs nothing, but could make a huge difference in the long term. I'm busting my ass to get as much interesting content on the site, so it might even be entertaining. Thanks Again |

"I'm busting my ass to get as much interesting content on the site" There's a thought, compile video footage of you falling over and over again and busting your butt! Seems to work for America's Funniest Home Videos. Heck, invite the neighborhood kids to try dangerous stunts and give them a video camera to film it all. Errr... maybe that last one isn't such a good idea. How much does a single rear tire cost? |

Actually that's a great idea! I can't stand those kids. About $300 for a Dunlop rear race slick. (Message edited by Rodrob on October 06, 2011) |

Maybe in groups of 5 or 6 some of us can adopt a rear tire. You can take a picture of our tire mounted on the bike before and after use. Just a thought! |

Race tires are spendy, especially Dunlop, but because they forced on you in AMA everyone wants to get comfortable on them. I could set you up with some Conti-Race's for FAR less, but Shawn probably wouldn't want to switch. |

"Return the favor? http://www.youtube.com/user/ifmracin" Done. We are going to look at other tires in the future especially if they come with sponsorship. But right now we want to introduce as few variables to the setup as possible. Shawn can push Dunlops to their absolute limit a Willow so we will run them for now. "Maybe in groups of 5 or 6 some of us can adopt a rear tire. You can take a picture of our tire mounted on the bike before and after use. Just a thought!" Fantastic! If that can work, it would be great. I'm sure we could come up with some additional shwag as well. |

Completely understandable, and I wouldn't want to throw that in there either. I'm not sure what we could do anyway, just because of geographical location issues. Our tires don't come through the West coast distributor, so that might be an issue. If we can get around that I could at least get you our cost on them. |
