Between these two parts: CO152.02A8 and YO724-02A8. The later supersedes the first. My bike dies when the forks hit the locks when turned to the right. I know this is a known issue, broken solder connections at the ignition switch. I was wondering if anyone knew if the new part has a longer cable and better made connections. It's almost a $100 difference in price between the new and old parts. |

so far most folks just repair the switch and do a better job of securing the wiring than was done in east troy. |

I ended up buying C0152.1AD to replace mine but found out the cable was way too short so I extended the wires myself by splicing and soldering the old wires from the busted one. so I do know that C0152.1AD part is too short to be used unless you go my route. I would also like to know the correct one that is long enough for the R's. |

C0152.1AD is the Lightning/1125CR part, the .02A8 part is for Firebolts and 1125R so it has the longer cable, I can't remember if the mounting bracket is the same or not for both. As for the original question, I'm not sure the difference between the two parts listed. |

Thanks for the info, I think I'm gonna just rebuild/solder it myself rather than buying the new part. |

Ok, just got back from my vacation, and started on this little project. I have got everything pretty much apart right now. Before I go any further I want to know which end of the cable I should be looking at, where it goes into the main harness or at the ignition switch. |

H-D combined two parts that were available separately into one, expensive switch assembly. Much better to fix the switch and mod the fairing stays so it doesn't happen again. Zack |
