For someone in the "know" I have an '09 1125R with Saron exhaust. I asked them which ECM they used they said they use the eebbrr race ECM for pump gas. Which is good but eebbrr doesnt offer an ECM with there map. Saron said that they would send me a copy of there map to be up loaded to the ECM. Does anyone think that eebbrr would be able to do this for me? I know they no longer offer all the tweaks in the programming like before. Or would I have to get a programmable one and learn how to do it myself? That would be unchartered water for me |

You can program the OEM ECM with tunerpro, though what format the map Saron has will determine if you can burn it or not. |

Ok last night I received an email from Saron exhaust that included a map for an ECM (I hope) since it's nothing but a bunch of numbers and letters. In like an outline format. The person from Saron stated it was the map used on the race bikes in Germany. So what all would I need and a quick how to class on replacing this map with the stock one in the ECM. Oh and I'm not sure what the format is but the file is 12.2 kb and the file ends with .hex |

Probably the best bet would be to ask Erik Buell Racing or Pegasus Race Team for some help. |

Just before you consider using tunerpro or something similar have a read of the thread "Won't Start" - in theory if you're careful and backup your current map you shouldn't hit any snags BUT, if you decide to remap your ONLY ECM, there is the possibility that you could brick it... |

Unless your ECM is exactly the same version as the bike the map came off this will end badly, use Tunerpro to read the map and then edit the timing and fuel tables in your own ECM to match, do not try to flash the map you have been sent directly to your ECM. |

Ok update... I emailed Erik Buell Racing on wednesday and got a reply yesterday. They said email them the map and if it loaded than it would cost $275. Which is the new price of all the ecm's after the 6th or could be the 9th. So I sent the map off to them today. I know there racing this weekend and Monday is a holiday so if I hear from them by Friday cool. If not than I'm still cool I know there busy. I just hope it works and loads properly. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. |
