So as some of you may know, I am loyal Buell to the bone. I defend them, ride them, improve and modify them in several ways. I LOVE Buells! I own an 09 1125R and its been great, clutch weep, fixed under warranty, broken bolt fixed under warranty, charging issue fixed under warranty ect ect ect. My most recent issue is the dash went out right before warranty was up so I made a list, checked it twice and took it in. I dropped the bike off on June 4th and it stayed there for over a month. I needed it back so I could fit the AirTech fairings on it so I went and picked it up as we still had a long wait on the dash. The dealer told me that the dash was on back order and wasn't going to be here until the 29th of this month so it was ok to take it and ride it if I wanted to(no speedo). First ride out popped the belt, NO WARRANTY, fixed belt myself, rode it about 200 miles and ignition switch goes bad, I have heard rumor that its common, fixed the switch, today the fuel pump isn't coming on, WTF? I'm a little pissed, kind of stuck, what should I do? Here is my main issue, if I had all the time the bike was in the shop for warranty work added to the end of my warranty, all these issues would have still been covered. Maybe not the belt, but the rest for sure. Any ideas? |

Contact HD customer service, they may be able to cover it under good will. There have been owners who have had bigger warranty jobs covered even further out of warranty than you. Be polite, and mention the fact that your bike has been in the shop for x amount of time. |
