Without this turning into another tire discussion thread, what's your current "track day use only" tire of choice? (I'm thinking just state the tire you use and we'll see what's most mentioned. Thanks) |

the instructors at sportbiketracktime were using power 2ct's rather than dot's since they were on & off the track so much. a year or two ago. goin pretty darn quick too |

im very happy with my power pures. three solid track days and ive lost track of how many street miles. very predictable when sliding. good in the rain etc etc. but i see you are asking track day only. I think the new hotness is the dunlop n-tec 211gp. (Message edited by smoke4ndmears on August 25, 2011) |

Dunlop 211 GP-A. Street and Track. Been trying Pirelli slicks in race since Dunlop slick rear wont fit 1125R. Also cost. Starting to like the Pirellis. Different feel so they take some getting used to. Had my best lap time with 211GP-A rear and Dunlop slick front. Might go back to that for the race. |

I use Continental ContiRace DOT's. Soft front and medium rears. Been very happy with them, ran a new personal best on them last weekend, ran Pirelli DOT's last year. |

I am in absolute love with the new Bridgestone BT 003 DOT race tires, they have instilled great confidence. While I like the Michelin Power One DOT tires, the Bridgestone have just been fantastic |

Pirelli Diablo Superbike Pro Great slick with a trackday compound. No tire warmers needed and some guys get 5-6 track days out of a set. I am doing my second track day at Homestead on Sept 11th on them. |

This is good, if a bit inconclusive so far...one for Bridgestone, two mentions for Pirelli and Dunlop, one for Conti and three for Michelin. Keep 'em coming. Thanks. |
