Been hearing some bad things about them exploding and Michelin's not backing them up. Just Google "Pilot Road 3 failure" I have the Road 2ct (or is it just Road 2) and love them. A lot rounder profile than the Power 2ct's I had on before, but I really like them. |

I have PR3s and I frickin love them. Got 6k on them and they still look fantastic. They corner just like my 2cts did but will clearly last twice as long. Better in the rain as well. LOVE THEM! |

Ditto that. Real confidence in nasty weather. I've got about 6000 on a set and they are wearing much better than the 2CT. They feel more neutral than the 2CT. I run 36/38 PSI and weigh about 250 in riding gear. No complaints. Don't know about them exploding. I was leaned over pretty good in a fast sweeper and hit a large chunk of rock or pavement something with the rear tire. The angle was enough I think it left a mark on the rim. Hard to tell there are a lot of marks on that rim. Anyway no loss of control...just a little bUMp and kept tracking. |

I have a set of the PR3's as well. I will check the creation time to see if close to guy on FZ6 forum. So far (about 1.5-2k) they've been great. rain or shine - great traction with better wear than the PD3's. read through the forum and some sketchy lawyer antics it seems, but definitely some suspicious oddities from the OP - now that he's lawyered up and the thread closed i doubt we'll find out what happened. bummer. Hope he heals and everything works out well (good or bad - karma will take care of the rest). |

I recalled seeing that FZ6 thread and was instantly put off. Not by the tires, but by the owner. I'll give him the benefit of doubt, but it's seems iffy to me. That said, I'm in need of new shoes for the Speedy. PR2's are on my list, but if PR3's are better, I'll get them. How do you guys like them in the dry? I've read a few accounts of people thinking they were a bit 'greasy' (sipes?) and others felt they were too hard of a compound for good grip. Understanding that those two feedbacks are just about opposites, I'd like to get to the bottom of what I've been hearing. I've been a Michelin user for a long time and plan to stick with them. |

I had PR2's and didn't like them. Ran the rear PR2 with the OEM pirelli front for 4k miles, which was ok. Got a new PR2 front to run with the PR2 rear and hated it. I pulled after 1k miles, and bought OEM pirelli's. This bike is just to much fun to cheap out on tires. I'm using it as a commuting bike, so most of the pirellis are wasted, but it flies on the corners i do hit, and it is stable up to 150 mph. The PR2's are not stable above 100 mph for me, I checked the balance and the torque on the wheels, played with the suspension. Nothing would help. Finally switched to Pirelli Diablo III's and no problems since. Michelin doesn't list the PR2 as a compatible tire with the 1125. |

the power pure is meant for the 1125. i have them and love the ride and grip. the stock diablo's were ok when new, but after 1000 miles seemed to need to be pushed into the corner. 3000 miles on the pure's and still good |

+1 on dislike for the pr2. Things slide too much and the tread on the shoulders are feathering like I've been doing burnouts. I don't get to do any aggressive riding, just 35 miles to work then back home everyday. They are lasting decently though. |

I have a set of PR3's on my XB that I've had on for 1000 miles or so. I love em. Grip in the wet or dry is spectacular. I have no issues with any greasy feeling, and they feel like they're stuck like glue to the road when leaned waaaaay over. I'm comparing these to Conti Road Attacks. The RA was a great tire, but not as sticky as the PR3. Also, the PR3's profile fits my style of riding better. It feels more neutral than the RA. Next set I buy will probably be PR3 again. |
