whoever posted the idea of putting silicone rtv around the mirror to stop the vibes, holy cow! awesome! no more pulling the clutch in to see whats behind me. now i can actually make out the color AND what kind of vehicle is back there! no matter what the rpm's are my mirrors are smooth. woo hoo!! highly recommended |

I have been meaning to do this for about a year and haven't got around to it. Thanks for the reminder. |

Does improve things about a billion percent... and as far as the color of the cars in the mirror, as long as they aren't black and white!! |

Just about mandatory...! I did mine about a year and a half ago...about 4 or 5 weeks after getting my CR off the showroom floor and into my garage. I've mentioned it a coupla times...but someone else brought it up before I did. Mike |

cut the tip off the tube point applicator and squeeze it into the little gap all the way around the glass. filling the space between the glass and black mirror housing. careful with your finger smoosh it in and wait to dry |

Be sure to set you mirrors first. I taped up my mirrors first so I had no spillover to worry about.

No I took mine apart and put foam under the mirror. My good friend Neil (Ccryder) did this and showed us how he did it. He also turned his 1125R into an RT. Nice hard bags. Several Buell engineers were visiting him and checking his mods out at Homecoming 2008. I gave up on making mine work, got a set of late-model Firebolt mirrors and wired the signals to the running lights. Left-turn in the pic.

Haven't talked to him in a while, but he sends me e-mail jokes all the time. I think he's up to his eyeballs at work, I know he has a long commute. My new job has me gone half the day - 10 hr days and an hour each way. I can empathasize. Zack |
