PMjolly, don't use the gearbox as a locking tool, it will damage something, the TQ rating is very high. |

jim- stator nut retorque reepicheep- I thought about using the air gun but was nervous pounding on the end of my crankshaft. Sending my order to Erik Buell Racing.... its a good investment |

I figure, when I get to the point of needing one, I'll make one on my bench lathe. I have a transfer punch kit that I use as a pin-gauge in a pinch. It's just a shaft with threads on one end. I'm betting you don't "need" the threads anyway, just the right size shaft to fit the case and the crank hole, likely in a crankpin boss or counter-weight. Either orient the motor so gravity holds the pin or hold it with your finger(or a helper's) until you get some torque on the nut. Zack Ahh. found the pix... Locking Tool - B-48858
