What has to come apart so can the cam chain tensioners' can be upgraded? |

On the couple of I4s I've replaced CCTs on, it's just the two bolts that mount the CCT to the block that need to be removed. I'm guessing that it's not that simple on the 1125? Also, why the interest in upgrading the CCTs? |

The 2010 is CCT is supposed to be better and I am getting my 12,000 mile valve check soon. If It can be done then... |

If you mean the lower cam chain GUIDES, you need to pull off the stator cover and the rotor on the left side, and the clutch cover and clutch off the right side to get at them. These guides were redesigned for 2010, and noticeably quite down the engine 'clatter'. They only cost six or eight bucks a piece, worth while upgrade IMO. To my knowledge the cam chain tensioners were never updated or changed. |
