168 indicated for 250 lbs guy with gear.. TOp speed runs though make no difference IMO. Set a 1/4 mile or even better track time and see who wins. that would be a better measure of rider and bike. we already know most Japanese bikes have more top end than the 1125's

Bounced rev limiter in 6th at 174 mph indicated on the dyno. I've never been able to go faster than 160 mph on the street/track. I'm 6'2" about 200 lbs

Dyno has no wind resistance. A "big" guy only makes a difference on top speed if he offers too much wind resistance. As Bonneville has shown, weight is not a factor on top speed. As our highway sportbike death toll shows, top speed is only limited by the level of the rider's denial.

My '08 used to take me to 168, no problem...after setting the suspension and tire pressure. Before the diligent setup, air pressure would start picking up the front end at around 160. That was kinda an adrenaline rush.

I'm sorry, but what does a dyno speed have to do with just about anything?

Physical max on gearing at redline

Not just the gearing, but max revs too. With a EB.R ECM there is another 1000rpm (can't remember exactly, may of been less ?) available, which increases the top speed too. I have seen over 180mph on my clocks

You haven't fixed it yet? There is no way for any of us to know for sure what the redline is set to on your bike. I can take about as good of a guess at what tire pressure you run, or how much gas is in the tank

Yes, it should be raised by 500 rpm and you can look at it yourself if you have the free software and know how to use it.
