After a nice 300 mi. ride last weekend the rubber is gone from the toe piece of the shift lever. Crap, anyone know if I can get a replacement rubber or something that will work? |

happens. mine left over 10k ago and I don't mind it not being there. you can use fuel line to replace it. |

+1 on fuel line. or vacuum hose. or...just a big honkin' wrap of electrical tape. |

I took my shift peg rubber off in the first week of ownership. As you pull your foot away after an upshift there is a tendency for the shoe to stick on the rubber. |

OK here's what I did. Switched shifter toe peg with brake side then put 3/4" heat shrink tube 34mm long over rubber applied heat. Heat shrink tube isn't sticky as the rubber and should last. As for brake side cut 7/16 fuel hose 30mm long and with help from a little silicone spray pushed it over peg. I don't want boot slipping off the brake. |

Hairspray is a good lubricant, and then sets to a sticky "glue"... Obviously that information is intended for use by people sliding rubber hoses over their toe pegs, i wouldn't recommend it as a lubricant for anything else.... apparently it stings.. |

That is another creative use of hair spray. I had a Las Vegas showgirl tell me that hair spray was good for...Ooops PM me if you want the answer. |
