Last Thursday, when my dealer returned my bike for a stator/vr replacement, I noticed the bike has less punch and obviously less fuel consumption... Before this repair, I was able to do at max 240km per tank, now last Monday I refueled with 230Km without the low fuel warning led on, and only 14.5 fuel added to the tank, so 4.5 left on it!!! The low fuel led goes on when 3 liters on the tank left, so maybe with a full tank can do now 270km o more? So anyone is aware about new ECM reflash? A friend of mine with a CR 2009, noticed the same since last visit of his dealer. |

If you have a data cable, you can use ECM Spy to see what flash revision is installed. More likely, I'd guess that the AFVs were reset back to default (perhaps due to the battery being disconnected during the repair) and it will just take a few hundred miles of riding (maybe more or less--I'm not sure how long it's supposed to take) before the ECM relearns the optimal values that it previously had. |

I don't know if the dealer will have that cable for sale--I found mine on Ebay. http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570 .l1313&_nkw=buell+ecm+cable&_sacat=See-All-Categor ies |
