Hey guys I really want a Keda pipe but I can't justify waiting 7-8 weeks with my riding season ending in 12 weeks. I will probably order it in the winter but anyway. How is the improvement in power over the stock ecm when you switch to the race ecm?? |

Cant comment on stock exhaust since mine came with an fmf. But the ecm makes a huge improvement in throttle response and over all improves the ride quality. Although if your set on ordering the exhaust I would wait to get the ecm since you would need to send it back to have reprogrammed for the keda anyways. All in all not much in power gain till exhaust is added. |

The biggest advantage of the race ECM with a stock exhaust comes in the form of rear end stability under hard braking, IMHO. It is significantly easier to keep the bike from stepping out with the race ECM, in particular if you pull the clutch switch. If I were just riding street, I'd not bother. I don't have issues with the stock ECM. |

Race ECM from Erik Buell Racing all the way. I have the stock exhaust and the ECM greatly improved the bike at lower RPM's. Order one and don't look back. |

Sorry HI-JACK in progress....... I'm going on a 2000+mile trip in September, I have a E.BR ecm with an APH exhaust. I'm planing on fitting my modded stock exhaust for this trip purely for noise reasons (it's a long way even with ear plugs). Apart from running a tad rich do you guys think it will be ok with the race ecm? I dont like how the bike rides with the stock ecm in. |

i have an Erik Buell Racing ECM running with a stock exhaust BUT the ECM is tuned for a stock exhaust. seems to work ok, not really all that different to tell the truth, maybe a little bump in the midrange. nothing as drastic as the races ECMs for the XBs |

I would buy the Erik Buell Racing Race ECM for the stock can and then have it reprogrammed when you get the new can.My bike is greatly improved with the new ECM.Not a bunch more power but it is there everywhere.I don't rev Peggy as much now and I like the less engine breaking better.I got to ride a stock bike and mine back to back and mine doesn't stumble or bog down at lower RPMs.Easily the best upgrade for my bike so far followed closely by Erik Buell Racing brake pads. |
