Hell everyone Im ordering a pipe this month and i was curious if anyone has ever modded a barkers exhaust so it doesnt look so out of place? I want the front down pipe to hug the bike a little more is this possible without ruining performance |

ask them to make it different or buy a different pipe that fits how you want it to? |

Yea... The cone shaped pipe section is inherent to the design that allows it to perform the way it does. You can always get a chin spoiler. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/639034.html |

If you move the taper to the rear, it shortens the available length of the muffler body, which will make it considerably louder than it already is. |

I have an RT3 I got from Dean a long with the Erik Buell Racing ECU. Its amazing how the bike has went from a nice kinda easy going bike to a full blow monster with just two upgrades. Id have to say it was the best $900.00 I could spend on any of my Buells. |

I rattle-canned the Barker black to make it less visible. When the 09+ electrics get resolved there will be as many farkels as I can afford. A riding buddy has ceramic headers on a few of his Big-Twins. We hadn't been stopped two minutes after a long ride when I decided to test his unshielded ceramic headers. I started by touching barehanded by the axle and eventually ended up gripping the exhaust pipe in several places working up to a few inches from the top. It was warm, warm, warm. Thank You NASA-Shuttle program. I have had all kinds of crap burn on header's over the years, that ceramic stuff is amazing! Considering the many heat issues these 1125s have makes the judicious use of ceramics a no brainer. The headers and muffler are about all I can afford. The fortunate folks can ceramic coat their frames, intake and exhaust ports, pistons, combustion chambers and valves. Piston skirts with teflon, the underside of the piston gets heat the dispersant. A ceramic engine would most likely be able to handle higher compressions and a broader range of timing options. |
