I just talked to these people and want to help us. Not sure if some one has used them before but they seem to understand our delima. They would like to have some one email them @ info@regulatorrectifier.com if you have an '09-'10 1125R/CR and have an extra failed stator you would be willing to send in. Along with what the standard ratings are. I'm sure if it isnt failed it would work to. They will contact you and send you a mailing label to send in your stator. Just trying to help here |

I'd also suggest having Custom Rewind work on the problem since they already have some first hand knowledge of the problem. Then again, having a coupla companies working on a proper fix might be a good thing. Mike |

Custom rewind is doing there best to help us but unfortunately they have had several fail as well. having another company take a crack at it is a great idea. |

Custom rewind had several fail? really? RT performance and maybe one other, right? mine was just done a couple months ago (4000miles) still going strong. AC volts checked Seems like sticking with custom rewind would be a good idea. This appears to be a trial and error approach (reverse engineering) and with no actual inside knowledge as to what we should actually do. The more stators custom rewind deals with the more they will be able to figure out what is going on and we we can do to fix it once and for all..... this is my dream |

I already told them custome rewind was helping us and I was looking for another company that had the know how to help. Two company's trying to help us all out can't be a bad thing. They have rewinds for the 08 why not something better for the 09-10. Just trying to help. |

Jcjohnson - Good! Do they use epoxy or varnish. If varnish any heat dispersant properties? |

I could send them one. The VR on my 09 CR failed with only 1400 miles on the bike. The factory upgraded harness was installed @ 300 miles. I plan to install a MOSFET VR AND keep the the factory upgraded harness. Hopefully the combination will protect my stator. Anyone know under what conditions the ECM activates that relay?}} |

Lets put it this way Tbow I had 2 Cr stators fail RT had one. Thats several and since they used smaller wire than OEM on many stators there will be more that fail because they will run hotter than OEM. |

I'm just saying...don't drop them (Custom Rewind) because of a coupla failures...! Two or even three companies working on this is fine. Just be nice if they could stay in the race (IF...they want to..!) and continue to try to fix this rather than drop them like a boulder.. Mike |

Custom Rewind uses epoxies and others use varnish. Which is better at heat dispersal and longevity? |

I think the varnishes are actually epoxy varnish so I think they have a similar base property.. Just my opinion of course.. |

They as in regulatorrectifier.com said it is a thick epoxy. If no one is willing to send one in I guess I could pull mine, but mine is ok for now. Going strong for over 10000 miles |
