Wow JC - nice link. Appears you can buy one outright for $350 or a re-wind for $200. |

I'm confused. The 2008 stators are fine. So why would you be sending your 2008 core in exchange for a rewound unit? |

That link is weird... Out of interest I thought I'd go through the order process and it only wants to charge $49.95 for the stator (and $55 shipping to the UK).. My total was $104 and that's with me saying i won't be sending them one back for refurb... Has anyone actually bought anything from them as that's just weird! |

Ah - they've got the deposit bit the wrong way round. It knocks $150 off if you say you're NOT sending one back... as apposed to adding it on like I'd expect it to. |

In the UK, if a company does that they have to honour the price... Is that the same in the US? On the other hand I guess the gentlemanly thing to do is to point it out to them |

bought everything to convert mine from Eric Buell Racing, E-mailed them and asked if they had the parts as they were not listed on the website. stator came pre-installed in 2008 housing, rotor is separate, after 3rd party install it probably cost me around $800.00 this is probably the most expensive option but since I got a good deal on the bikes to begin with that even with the additional investment its still a lot of bike for the money. converted 2 - 09 CR's one has 7,000 miles and the other has 5,000 miles. no stator/charging problems to date. |

I just talked to them I started a new thread about it. Check it out. I explained the 08 don't have the problems the 09-10 do. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/645374.html?1312213657 |

I bought my 08 stator and flywheel on E-Bay. The most expensive part was the $100.00 torque wrench the goes to 300 lbs I would like to tell you how well it's been working since ..... but ..... I did a little unintentional off roading so won't have answers until after I collect a few more parts to fix the damage . |
