I don't believe that was what he is saying. I took it as if you have questions about something, that he can look it up for you.

Just my opinion.

+1 Northernyankee

Sounds like if you need a little advice on how to do something, he would share the information with you.......not copy the manual and send it to you.

I have a service manual as well, and yes, BEST money spent, has already saved me HUNDREDS of dollars in service that i have done myself and didnt take it to the stealership.

Oh, forgot, i would HIGHLY recommend getting the parts manual as well. It's always nice to go to the dealership and just put a list of part numbers down for them to find/get/order rather than them looking through their manual forever cause they hardly use it and just waste riding time hunting for the part.

The best part of the parts book is the exploded diagrams, they are a godsend when putting shit back together!

I know this is a touchy subject BUT... I downloaded an electronic copy (for free) which I realise is THEFT.

However I also purchased a hard copy and I just use the electronic copy so I can print out specific sections and put in little clear envelopes that I can use when working on the bike so my manual stays relatively neat & tidy.

I also like the fact that the pdf version means I have the maunual on my phone, which has proven handy once already when stuck on the side of the road.

I think the manuals are a BARGAIN, I paid $300 for the workshop maunual for my Toyota Supra about 7 years back so the Buell manuals are great value for money.

The only problem with relying on a downloaded manual is if they don't cover your year you could make a big mistake ! The price you may pay for being a cheapskate ...

But I do agree it is handy to be able to print out the relevant pages when working on the bike.

Me, I photocopy the relevant pages from my manuals when working on the bike and throw them away afterwards. I have them for both 2008 and 2010 models.

I understand the stance on the "pirated" electronic manuals. Is there somewhere that you can PAY for one though? I have been using computer based manuals at my work for the past 8+ years and honestly just like them better than paper. I would like to purchase a set but would love to have it as an electronic copy. Any ideas?

Like I said, I am not trying to "get around" paying or be a cheapskate. I am not trying to go against the morals of this board. Simply asking if there is somewhere to get a digital copy of the manuals. If they are all pirated versions then I will buy a paper one ans scan it myself.

There is no legally available digital copy of the 1125R manual. The only copies out there are either on HD's network, or pirated. It is a shame, I also would purchase one.
