Ok, since I never took the temp. of the cover while running before I sent it out. Can someone take some kind of reading with a temp gun, thermometer, hand, etc. Since I will be receiving my thermal Dispersant cover coating in a few days, I will be slapping everything back together and taking a reading to compare to see if it works. Any help is appreciated. |

Just out of interest are you hoping the temp will be higher or lower on yours? I can't make my mind up whether it having a higher external temp means it's "sucking" heat out of the engine... I can't help you at the mo sorry - mine's in the shop waiting for my rewound stator to come back.. |

The guy on the phone at the shop said the coating works well for taking away heat at the area especially when oil is involved. My hope is instead of having oil passages, the will be enough heat being taken off the cover to aid in cooling the oil inside. My only other issue is whether or not to send the stator to have rewound or put the original back in. Currently it seems to be fine but for how long. |
