I have bought Brembo one from a Ducati 1098, will be fitting it soonish, but I need a longer line due to my front end conversion. The guy I bought it off used it on his 1125 with good results, said the lever was alot lighter. |

I put an Brembo RCS16 on mine, and it doesn't move enough fluid. So, I'm looking for the spec so I can source the right part. The stock MCs have an integrated res which causes some grief fitting up with some kinds of aftermarket clip-ons, in particular the ones I use which have adjustable bars. |

14mm - bought a rebuild kit from Old Bike Barn: ( Honda parts-made by a company"K&L": http://www.oldbikebarn.com/Honda-Clutch-Rebuild-Ki t?sc=2&category=141 about $30 also designed and built new piston for the Slave Cylinder - been testing since Dec - seems to be working well...are you sure you don't have a leak down on the slave unit??? |

> are you sure you don't have a leak down on the slave unit Yes. The RCS16 simply doesn't move enough fluid. It works, but leaves the clutch a little more engaged than I'd like. |

a) is the spherical nut down on the slave piston tight? b) leaky hose or connections? c) is it OK cold an gets worse when hot? - put some of that hi performance (Motul)brake fluid in there good luck |

A) Yes. I am unable to torque it to exact spec because of the unusual tools required to tighten that nut, but it's "close". B) The hose is fine, the fluid is fresh. I'm in the clutch a decent amount, so this is something I'm quite familiar with. C) There is no change between cold and hot other than the plates slip a little better when it's hot. Seriously, the RCS16 is likely the problem. I have ZERO issue with the OEM MC, other than it won't fit on the clip-ons. Does anyone have the SPEC for the OEM Clutch MC? I can't find it. |

pies r square = 3.14 x 7mm sqd (49)= 153 14mm bore=153sq mm x travel of 13mm ?(1/2") = 1989 cubic mm of fluid is pushed thru the Stock MC ( or about 2cc) the 16mm ? bore on your aftermarket = 3.14 x 8mm sqd(64) =200 sq mm to achieve 1989 cubic mm of fluid displacement (1989/200)=9.9 mm of travel (10mm or about 3/8") ...if it's moving less than 10mm or 3/8" you have a problem ( this is MC piston travel not lever travel) |

So you are suggesting the OEM part is roughly a 14x13? I really don't think so... |

Jim - I understand the back story here and think I have a grasp of where this is headed. Stay tuned - I'm working that problem right now and should know something by this weekend if you can wait that long. Got some 'sperimentin goin on. JM |

That's fine. I figure I'm going to be ordering another MC anyway, so might as well have the specs on the right part to get. Hey, give me a ring; boy do I have a sob story for you. I need a shoulder to cry on. LOL. |

I find the 1125OEM clutch m/c moves too much fluid. There's only a small window between the point of engagement and disengagement. It's like turning ON-OFF, making difficult for me to modulate/control. So I'm looking for a slightly smaller bore than the OEM. |

Modern after market levers give (2) dimensions - a) the bore diameter. b) the leverage ratio from the pivot pt. here is a better /complete description (scroll down): http://www.oppracing.com/pages/articles_brembo_mas ter_cylinders/ DC is on the right track for a more modulating control - but I don't think the clutch springs/plates/friction material will let him have his way...remember the engine is a torque monster - the clutch is got to transfer that torque |
