I thought that the Rosso's were a replacement for the III's. (Message edited by kinder on June 29, 2011) |

Tons of good tire choices these days. Track, Sport, & ST tires are all much improved over what was available just 5 years ago. |

+1, given the popularity of the 180/55/17 size, you will have a hard time finding a tire that doesn't fit your needs. I've ran scorpion trails, scorpion syncs, D616, corsa III, strada, pilot power 2ct, pilot race, and who knows what else. All of them except the Dunlop D616 were great. |

Hey Sprintst: Where you find that comparison graph? |

I'm switching to Pilot Road 3's - see how they do. If they aren't as great as expected i'm going Rosso or supercorsa (screw mileage at that point). Sprintst - yeah where?!? wonder if they compare others like that. cool. |

Pirelli's european website I ***think**** the Diablo Rosso = Diablo Rosso II in Europe http://www.pirelli.com/tyre/ww/en/motorcycle/sheet /diablo_rosso_corsa.html?url=%3Fsubtype%3Droad (Message edited by sprintst on June 29, 2011) |

I just bought a new set of Pilot Power 2cts from Jake Wilson $216 delivered. I love these tires. Here's a pic of the set that's currently mounted. The rear is 90% gone with 5.5K miles including way to much highway lol. The front is probably 75% gone.

Dunlop SP's seem to have the best reviews. that's what I'm spooning on after I used up the Rosso Corsa rear, Corsa III front and a patched Pilot Power 2 I've got left over. |

I get about 7500 on the rear and just swapped out a front at 9000 miles, running Bridgestone BT-016's. |

I just put on a rear Rosso a couple hundred miles ago. Grip does seem to be at least as good as the DCIII (only one canyon run so far). Sprintst, what you say about Rosso = (EU) Rosso II may be true, but Motorcycle Superstore has both models in stock --- and the II is about $20 more, if I remember correctly . . . |

I have the Rosso Corsa and the wear looks good still looks like I should get more out of them then my DC III which was about 8K before I blew out on a nail. I think I should be able to go almost til the end of this season looking at the wear indicator. I usually ride 2 up and go about 12K a year. |

How in the world someone can get 8K out of a tire on an 1125 astonishes me. I do good to get 3,500 on my whimpy XB...I hate to think how poor the life would be with 30 or 40 more horsepower. |

Fast1075 I was able to get 12K on the front tire. Then I gave it to one of the stunters I ride with and he is still using it. |

I road on the corsa for 46 miles and ordered my pures via phone while out riding...I can't even fathom actually riding with this tire unless it was the last resort on my commuter bike. Pilot roads for you daily riders pilot pures for you novice canyon guys and pilot power ones for the guys that are going to track more then ride on the street. |

The Pirellis aren't that bad. I ran the CorsaIII quite successfully for quite some time on the race track, and I run their race products now. They are good tires. Putting rider preferences aside, Michelin and Pirelli both make a great product. There's either something wrong with your set-up or pressures, or you are just being silly. I can totally understand a preference for the feel of the Michelins (they are great tires), but to suggest the Corsa isn't a a good tire at all is just ridiculous. |

I went past the wear bar on my DC3 but not to the cords yet at about 7.5k. A great tire (most top3 are), trying the PR3's next to compare. but compared to most i'm likely slooow... |

Huge thumbs up for the Pilot Power 2CTs. Their nice, pointy profile provides for quick steering response (without being twitchy) but also a large contact patch when leaned over. I will continue to use those tires until I can't get them any more. |

I'm satisfied with the Rosso Corsa as a replacement. A great performing tire on the road and track (IMO). |

i just watched a show on the bonneville salt flat races, and saw Leslie Porterfield on her twin turbo busa making 200+ mph passes and noticed the tread pattern on her back tire. it was a dunlop D616. i was amazed to see someone running it that at those speeds. i see using it for grip on the sand though. |
