Then to top it off I imported this bike from USA and now HD Canada wants $350.00 to inspect my bike before they decide if they will warrenty it, so much for my worldwide warrenty |

They now want me to pay $1400.00 to fix my stator first then $350 for the inspection and $112.00 for testing.I have owned many Harleys and was going to buy a new Road King this week but they now I will never buy a Harley again. Then to top it all off they tryed to sell me the extended warrenty,a..holes. |

Fastphil, I think one of the Triumph Rocket Three 2300cc Tour version would look much cooler parked next to the 1125 than a Road King anyday. Faster, different, and built by a company of one mans vision too. http://www.triumph.co.uk/uk/Triumph_Rocket_III_7686.aspx (Message edited by duphuckincati on June 16, 2011) |

Its not the dealer its HD Canada and USA and as of now my warranty is no good anywhere world wide. I spoke to rmstator.com who are the largest supplier of electrical components for bikes,in North America and they say they can build me a stator and supply a switching RR with the correct ends for my 1125 and free shipping to boot. |

Deeley is the sole importer of HD to Canada. They WILL NOT honor any warranty until they "inspect" and Canadian Certify a HD imported bike. Its basically a cash grab by Deeley as they are upset they didn't get your for 2 grand markup on a bike they imported. You can go to any Canadian Tire store and get Canadian Certified for about 25 bucks. |

My bike was imported to Canada as per all USA and Canadian regs, and inspected at a Canadian Gov specified shop and was found to comply with all regs. The Canadian importer claims that since I did not file the form that is listed in the owner,s manual which is aimed at importing a Buell into the US , I have not met the requirements of my warranty. There is no difference in the canadian US bikes but speedo mode. Also the US and Canadian owners manuals for Buells are the same as I have one of each. As for taking my bike back stateside I was told by Deeley that thay have stopped my warranty there too. plus It is 1000 KLM round trip to nearest US dealer. |

Unbelievable.... Although I might call it a blessing. you would only get another "built to fail" stator anyway |

Thats too bad. A warranty is only as good as the company that stands behind it. |

Go to HD corporate with a polite letter explaining situation, ask for advice. |

Well after talking to 4 people at Deeley Canada and 2 people at HD USA and 4 dealers it seems that HD will grasp at any straw to get out of warranty on my bike. It seems that a court room will be my next step. I found out that my bike was not charging after it stalled 5 feet off a stop sign and tossed me over the bars into traffic. This stator problem is a safety defect that should be reported to the NHTSA as per your owners manual as it can cause a crash or injury or death.Well this will not get my warranty back if all owner with stator or charging problems did this it may make HD man up and make a real fix for our bikes. |
