That super mini is pretty small, maybe big enough to hold your wallet. Get a bigger one. I have the Buell deluxe bag now, but if I had seen the cortec bag sooner, thats what I would have gotten. |

I have a cortec mini on my X1 and love it, but im not using it for long distances. Its kinda small, but nice for around town and priced resonably. |

I have the Cortech Super Mini, it holds much more than a wallet. A larger one is needed at times, but more than sufficient for my needs most of the time. It has held up great for me, many miles and still in great shape. |

http://www.tourmaster.com/xcart/catalog/Super-10-L iter-Tank-Bag-p-188_31.html i've had this for a few years. works great. Bumpus in Murfreesboro, TN has some Cortech luggage left. Give them a call or PM Tom. I bet you can get a good deal, if they have any left. Matt |

Love the Buell one. Just purchased one from a Dealer in Daytona. My local dealer located at least 4 of them around the country mostly in the Midwest. It included the mounts so its a no nonsense attachment. |

the buell Bag is huge and the map pocket slants away from you wich makes it nearly impossible to see unless you stand up on the pegs. http://www.pinkgorillacycles.com/accessories/lugga ge/cortech-micro-tank-bag-motorcycle-luggage I bought this Micro tank bag it is small but you can fit the neccesties cell phone, wallet, keys or Ruger LCP LOL |

I have a Buell bag and can say it fits very nice, I've never riden with it, but I did stick it on to see how it fits. |

I use a Buell tank bag and I like it but it is a little on the larger side for the twisties. Also I put a couple of fender washers on the screws that hold the front straps because they would sometimes pull through the holes and come off.My buddy has Cor Tech stuff and I must admit it is of better quality. The rubber on the zippers of my Buell tank bags is peeling off and one of the rain covers came off on the road and got shredded in the wind before I noticed it.I just put my stuff in a dry bag like you use for canoeing and then out it in the saddle bag.FWIW |

I use the Cortech sport tri bag system (saddle bags and tail bag). I agree it's good quality at a good price. I don't use a tank bag I like to lay on the Tank. I also agree with any soft bag even with rain covers line the bag with a plastic bag T.C.Y.A |

I like the Buell tank bag too for it's ease of use and fair quality, but it took me a while figure out to seal the holes on the straps with a flame and fit washers like Nm5150! One thing though -I find it uncomfortable to go above about 80mph -the wind feels like it's trying to pull my helmet off and I can't tuck in with the bag on. Maybe I need a new screen (or slow down...? ) |

I've got a Cortech Super 10L and generally like it. Map pocket is about the size of 5 x 7 picture so a travel map doesn't exactly fold up nicely. But it does hold essentials like phone/gloves/soda bottle, and has a couple of pockets for sunglasses etc. For my taste, it's a pinch small for use on a long trip, but I do like it for it's compactness when riding aggressively or for a short day trip. |

I bought the Icon Urban tank bag: http://www.amazon.com/ICON-URBAN-TANK-BAG-BLACK/dp /B000GSIY3Q I really liked the idea of it being convertible between a backpack, a tank bag, and it also holds a helmet. It uses a rubbery/sticky backing to sit on top of the tank, and then has four magnetic "feet" to grip to the tank. The idea is you can quickly pull it off and take it with you. Obviously I know that my 1125R doesn't have a magnetic tank - or a tank there at all. For some reason, I thought the "feet" would be adjustable, and I could get them to go clip to the frame - no, unless I break out a sewing machine or something (I don't know how to do that). My second thought was to get thin sheets of steel, and double-side stick them into place under the plastics, basically on to the airbox cover. I did that this morning - and sadly, the magnets aren't strong enough to grip through the plastic very well. So, how I have a tank bag that I REALLY like (great quality, exactly what I was looking for, etc.)... except it's not a tank bag. It does, however, work great on my girlfriend's Ducati Monster. |

X- i have had one of those Icon bags since 03 and was very disappointed to find out after i bought my Buell that it wouldn't work as a tank bag. even with a metal tank it wouldn't work because of how big the bags is vs how small the top of our tank is. I have a small Joe Rocket bag that i use after i epoxied some retired hard drive magnets on the inside of the air box cover. |

Hey Boogie... Any probs with the magnets interfering with the electronics? I was gonna try the same with some Neodymium magnets but heard they may interfere with the electrics. |

AN UPDATE: So - I was bound and determined to make my Icon Urban tank bag work. I experimented with lots of different types of steel between the airbox cover and the plastic cover - nothing gave the magnets enough grip. So, I started playing around with various magnets... probably went through buying ~10 different styles of magnets before I found something I was happy with. What I ended up with are small, flat, round neodymium magnets. Probably 3/4" in diameter - they look like a watch battery. I used the poles that attract between the magnets and the tank bag, and taped them to the plastics cover with window flashing tape to ensure good adhesion. I will say - it IS NOT perfect. There is only one position the bag can be in for all four magnets to create good contact. It also doesn't hold quite as well as on my girlfriend's Ducati with the metal tank. BUT, I have ridden with it a couple times, and taken it through a few twisties, and it hasn't budged... so I'm happy! And no ugly straps to mount. |
