Not only do they fit, they are the same. You may need to change the rear rotor on that wheel, I can't tell if its the kind with the holes in it so you can take the caliper on and off with ease. |

yes, they fit, just have to put the pulley and the brake for the back wheel on the correct side, but front wheel is no change |

rear disc needs to be from an 1125 or late model XB due to the caliper retaining bolts being accessed through the disc on the 1125 and of course the rear wheel is installed the other way round compared with an XB, I had both bikes at the same time for a while and the commonality of parts such as the mudguard, rear seat etc shows a good reuse of existing components to name two, however I have fitted a 10 model 1125 rear wheel to my 09 to get the three bearing and dust seal layout, the original rear wheel bearings were shot after 2000 miles. It is a pity that the front wheel/axle design was not upgraded at the same time. (Message edited by Dirty_john on May 20, 2011) |

Not a necessity though. |

*note that the direction of rotation is reversed for the rear wheel/tire. so it's not just 'swap pulley & rotor' if the tire is allready mounted. i didn't think of that until after getting a second set of rims. that being said, a 6mm allen key will fit thru the holes in an 08 and earlier rear rotor (i just checked) so you can put the caliper on the rotor, and line the holes up to mount the caliper, and then put the axle thru. it'd be a little harder than with the later model rotors. or you can drill a big ass hole in the middle of your rear rotor. or for my first tire change, i didn't even take off the caliper, but scratched my rim in teh process

Take the rear hugger off and you can bring the wheel up and around the caliper with ease. |

good to know. definetly sounds easier than dicking with the allen wrench, and caliper bolts |
