I loved my old factory XB saddle bags. For in town, they were big enough. They were sturdy enough to also tie a backpack to, if you laid it out over the top of the passenger seat of course. And best of all, a passenger could ride at the same time. Then came the 1125. All I found were links to giant touring ones (no passenger), semi-giant touring ones, and other custom installs. None allowed a passenger. No good for my needs. And then along came Al from American Sport Bike. "I have all your needs, follow me to the land of milk and honey." And I did. And here are the pics of the Chase Harper bags. Missing from the pictures is my big sloppy grin. Yes, they do work with a passenger. Yes, they are stable; I hook my laptop bag up to them. Yes, I only used the mounting hardware they came with. Yes, you need to change the turn signals. Yes, that is high-viz tape on the sides. Capacity is the same as the factory XB bags.

I dig it, man. I didn't think those would look as nice as they do. (Message edited by daggar on May 06, 2011) |

I prefer my old vetter bagman bags. I've used them on my S2, my city-X, and my 1125CR. They hold everything I would need for an extended ride...

I was surprised how well it turned out as well. And like I said....you can do a passenger with no problem. They're in the 1125 section of American Sport bike: http://www.americansportbike.com/ But there are other vendors. |
