I need a more upright riding position and maybe that will look dorky on the R but I really want to pound some long miles out this summer and I just dont think the original posture is conducive to that. In conjunction with the high bar kit what other parts will I need to make it work on an R? |

There is a kit for the R at American Sport Bike that relaxes the riding position a bit. |

I have installed the bar from ABM. I was able to reposition the bars ~3" to the rear and ~1.25" higher.

for sure you'll need the upper triple clamp. not sure if it comes with the top clamp for the bars though... and the four bolts to clamp the bar down |

I was ready to install the American Sport Bike kit...but I ordered a custom corbin seat. It moved the riding position forward 1/2" and 1/2" lower. Now the stock clipons feel about perfect. I did a 650 mile day at the end of last season, and felt pretty good after. |

Custom yoke and cr highbar, if i did it again id use convertabars as these are a bit too high for the fairing (hands touch mirrors at lock) The riding position is great as i dropped the pegs 1 inch and redid the seat which added 2 inches. It just need a more upright windscreen to raise the wind and it would be a great sport touring bike. |

if i did it again id use convertabars as these are a bit too high for the fairing (hands touch mirrors at lock) Swap out those bars for a set of drag bars (no rise) that'll drop them a little and pull them back too.. May clear the mirrors then. renthal do a nice set in various colours |
