Installed this because I had the exact same one on my XB12R and got it for a heck of a price on ebay, the only difference is this one is chrome, the other one was black

That looks like Micky mouse's hat ? IMO a stereo has no place on a bike. |

lol I totally agree when I saw it for the 1st time, I was like "looks like my bike has mickey mouse ears" im weird. im sure a cruiser wouldnt be a bad choice for a stereo, but on a sport bike, I would be the fool to do it (Message edited by ultimo_justin on March 22, 2011) |

id LOVE to have speakers on my 1125 so that I didnt have to use earplugs with my ipod. But I've yet to see something that looked decent. Im jealous of my fathers Ultra with the Harmon Kardon sound thats perfectly clear and easy to hear at 1/2 volume at 80mph |

Listening to music while riding is like watching TV while having sex. |

+1 on the Scala. I sometimes look like a bobble head listening to a good song. No one else can hear it, but my helmets a bobbing, sometime I even sing along since i have the microphone right there. Good times |

I just about always ear earplugs when I ride. The unit is clear even at 80mph with a KEDA pipe. It uses the microphone to listen for ambient noise and will automagicly raise and lower the volume. It is a great unit, I love it! |

That's a nice feature, Froggy. I'm surprised the Nolan unit doesn't do the same, considering it was designed specifically for a motorcycle helmet application. Still, it's loud enough that I don't need the boost at speed... I just can't hear anything when I'm stopped with the music blasting away. It would be nice if it would automatically lower then. |

Yea it does it for the recording volume too, I've had people I was calling say "Oh wow you suddenly got louder" when taking off from a light. It is good at filtering out the exhaust and wind too, I have to clutch it and rev the motor for someone on the other end to hear it. |

Sorry dude but that looks HORRIBLE! Froggy, FYI. There is a new software download for G4 if you haven't done it yet. |

I was thinking of adding a stereo to my R. I think I can get one that will hide under the fairing and not be so noticeable. Gots to have the music when ridding! There is nothing wrong with that. Go ahead and enjoy that Mickey stereo! |

lol, well thanks for all the comments and "other" comments about my mickey ears lol. this stereo is from Uniq cycle sounds and yes there is a website. Amp is mounted under my seat, but sadly even at full volume when cruising interstate speeds it can barely be heard. I knew i was gonna be getting pointed and laughed at |

Yamaha used to sell mirrors with built-in speakers for bikes without fairings. Leave it to the music company... |
