Does anyone know anything about this exhaust? http://www.magnumtuning.com/en/detail/brutalitune_ tunable_bike_performance_exhaust_w_univ_installati on_177_long I'm doing some research to eventually purchase an exhaust for my 08 using the variables "performance" and "cost". I'm also concerned about the exhaust being obnoxiously loud. I'm really leaning towards Barker's with the Erik Buell Racing ECM just because it rock the dyno charts and it's fricken cheap (comparatively) and quiet with the core .... However I stumbled upon the BrutaliTune exhaust recently and I must say the cost and the claims of performance gains are interesting. The only problem is the lack of consumer reviews and second party performance analysis. If anyone can help me with a little more knowledge about this product it would be greatly appreciated. Times are tough and cost is always a factor. Thanx |

Yikes. Looks like a nicer version of a ShervinRR creation. |

I particularly liked this portion of the description: Spark arrestors (also known as spark arresters)... What else would they be called? Also, note that it requires welding - not a slip-on. |

Why not put the money into a track day and a lesson instead? Would probably make a much larger performance impact than a slip-on if you are really cost sensitive. |

Well, the performance gained from an aftermarket exhaust is negligible. The cost is ridiculous, and the majority of them are obnoxiously loud. I bounce between my stock pipe R and aftermarket pipe CR, I can't feel any difference between them, and it sure as hell is nice having the stock pipe not giving away your position to a sleeping cop on the side of the road. As for this BrutaliTune pipe, it looks like it’s a generic muffler cylinder, you will need fabrication skills to make it work, and hope it doesn’t sound like crap. |

I guess the bottom line is that no one has tried this exhaust. I thought it showed some promise. My first bike I owned was an 08 sv650, which i may add is an amazing first ride and even more amazing being the predecessor of the 1125r. After my first summer of riding, I bought the budget after-market exhaust and was quite pleased with the performance. I cut the old can off, slapped a K&N in her and could feel the difference immediately. http://compare.ebay.com/like/290522510995?var=lv&l typ=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar&rvr_id=2184413 63954&crlp=1_263602_309572&UA=%3F*F%3F&GUID=4a4755a312a0a0aad57324f3ff6cab35&itemid =290522510995&ff4=263602_309572 I was just hoping I could buy a decent exhaust without dropping the dough. The best 1125r exhausts cost a bit ... but in return are race ready and look fricken sharp. I may just have to fork over some cheddar for what I'm looking for |
